"For I passed on to you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that He was raised the third day according to the Scriptures... Therefore, whether it is I or they, so we proclaim and so you have believed" (1 Cor 15:3-11).
The gospel is sovereign grace; it is God having mercy upon whom He will (Rom 9:15-16). Before time began, He originated in Himself the eternal purpose to save a chosen number of Adam’s fallen race, called the children of Abraham, even all who believe the gospel (Eph 1:3-14; Gal 3:6-9). He predestined us for His glory - to show the greatness of God in saving sinners who despise Him and deserve damnation (Eph 2:4-7). The Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ, came to redeem this elect number back to God by laying His life down for our sins (Rev 5:9). God punished Him, and then He raised Him with all power in His hands and absolute authority over all flesh, that He might give eternal life to whom He pleases (John 17:2). He is the Great God our Savior, the One who loved us and gave Himself to us in the gospel, so that we can know God in the power of His grace, totally accepted and forever blessed, all because of what He did to put away sin! We are not under the law, but free by faith in Christ (Gal 3:10-14; Rom 6:14). Love now works in our heart as God’s new covenant is written there - that we are forgiven, adopted sons, and perfectly righteous through Christ, worthy of every blessing through His blood. We are saved by grace, kept by grace, encouraged by grace, and only by grace do we grow(2 Pet 3:18). Therefore, the gospel must be preached continually, exalting Christ in the Scriptures, so that He can minister with power (Luke 24:25-27). Paul said, “For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him having been crucified (1 Cor 2:2).” The gospel is unto godliness, producing in us the life that marks us as God’s children, zealous of good works, laboring together with other believers locally (Titus 2:11-15; Phil 1:27). We are transformed by His renewing power - forgiven, cleansed, and able to live uprightly by His promises, warnings, and instruction (2 Tim 3:15-17). We are empty and powerless in ourselves, prone to wander, and easily deceived, but in Christ, we are mighty through God and holy in conduct (1 Pet 1:14-15). The gospel is the Scriptures Alone! The Reformers called it Sola Scriptura, the truth that God has given us His final revelation in the written word of God from Genesis through Revelations {See, Five Solas}. The miraculous sign gifts have ceased, and there are no Apostles to lay on hands or preach to pass them on... and the Apostles had to be present. Acts 8:18-19, says, “When Simon saw that the Holy Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money, saying, ‘Give me this power too, so that anyone I lay hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.” We now have the infallible rule of life, the lone authority on all its subjects, and the absolute truth on how God shall deal with us in judgment or mercy (2 Tim 3:15-17). It’s pages contain Christ and Him crucified, and no one should be regarded who adds unto it. The gospel produces gospel empowered evangelism! Every member of the local church is to be a bold witness for Christ, using your particular gifts for His glory among the brethren, whether it be teaching, giving, serving, helping, or anything that He’s called you to do in building up His people and reaching the lost (Rom 12:3-8). God works through churches, and every believer has a ministry (1 Cor 12:4-7)! The gospel is the heart passion of Elevate Gospel Outreach. We lift up the Name of Christ for God’s glory, the comfort of all who believe, and the sending forth of the Local Church to the mission field of this sin-cursed, dying world. We are God’s people, willing to work with all local churches and every saint who claims the name of Christ in truth (2 John 2:9-11). We want you to get in contact with Christ’s transforming power, resting in His finished work unto all godliness (Titus 1:1). We want you to have the passion of life, which is saving God’s elect by the joy, truth, and love of God that He shows us in Christ. Cast away your works religion, and come to gospel truth! Let go of serving yourself, poor sinner, and take hold of the labor that is not grievous because it’s God’s forgiveness and acceptance that empowers you to love others (1 John 4:17-19). Be saved, lest the wrath of God, which is guaranteed to all who do not believe the gospel, comes upon you. “Because He has set a day when He is going to judge the world in righteousness by the Man He has appointed. He has provided proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead (Acts 17:31).”
